Ashland State Park Drowning Victim Identified
Authorities on Tuesday, July 21, released the identity of a man who died last week after he fell from a canoe into the water at Ashland State Park. The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office identified the victim in the July 15, 2026 canoe incident as Lucio Lana, 45, a resident of Ashland, Massachusetts.
According to authorities, his canoe overturned on the lake and he was pulled from the water by bystanders who performed CPR. He was subsequently transported to MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham where he was declared deceased.
