Heat Advisory Wed. July 1 – Thur. July 2, ’26
Cooling centers will be open at the Community Center and Library.
As we enter into an Unhealthy Heat Forecast as issued by the Massachusetts, Ashland is opening two air-conditioned cooling centers. They are located at the following locations on July 1st and July 2nd, to cool down if needed:
The Ashland Community Center, 162 West Union Street:
– Wednesday, July 1st, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
– Thursday, July 2nd, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The Ashland Public Library, 66 Front Street:
– Wednesday, July 1st and Thursday, July 2nd, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. Find more Extreme Heat Safety Tips at the Board of Health webpage:
